The value and quality of our life should not be determined by the amount of money possessed, what kind of car we drive; how many hundreds of friends we have, or by how many post likes we get on social media.
The world we reside in makes it easy to be manipulated and subjected to various levels of rhetorical propaganda, and even the falsification of someone’s genuine reciprocity. Thus, we must learn to measure life by the quality of what … AND … who is in our inner circle.
Let me ask you this … who was there to pick you up when you fell down? Who called just to say hello? Who sent a silly text because they thought of you? Who asked for your new address when you moved? Who showed up to visit when you were ill? Who drove hours just to see you for five minutes?
It’s imperative that we reflect on these questions … because … to be rich in life means we must be inherently aware of what true wealth means. True wealth is not measured by means of materialism, possessions, quantifications, or even shaped by society’s altered perception of what it means to be rich.
When we are honest with ourselves … we learn to evaluate the richness of our lives by means of radiance. In doing so, we discover what lights us up, what constitutes a place holder, and what we keep in our vault. The key to becoming rich is knowing our own worth AND remembering that we hold the match. How we strike it is entirely up to us.
