I carry my story deep in my soul; with a mission to share all the darkest parts of it, with those who want to listen. One of the universal pacts I made in my post surgery healing; was to give back in thanks. Today, as I do every year on McHappy Day … I gave back knowing that part of the proceeds are going to Georgian Bay General Hospital; knowing that I am in some small way making an impact. Proceeds that will be spent on life saving equipment.
I am alive because of this Hospital. I am alive because of Dr. Vikram Ralhan ordering a complicated CT scan. I am alive today because of Dr. Eileen Sacks who performed a 4.5 hour long attention to detail bowl surgery. I am alive because of the many quick thinking actions at a time when I knew I was dying. I don’t take this second chance at life lightly. I move with strength, confidence, courage, determination AND a voice. I am ALIVE … AND I am INCREDIBLY grateful! I get to watch my children grow up, see the world … AND never take another moment of this life for granted! No words will ever properly express my universal gratitude.
Isn’t it fascinating that near death awakens us in ways we never thought possible. For me, I am fueled by a firey passion, growth, and an unwavering sense of purpose. I am hellfire and heaven all wrapped up into one, and that outdated pre 2019 version of me … it died in the fire. I am not the same version anymore. This is Jenny 2.0 and I am a motherfu***** goddess!
